This is your thimble. Make it yours.
If there is anything you do not like about it make changes.
The leather isn't even and is catching your thread, trim it.
The top fold is rough and catching thread, shave it down.
It feels a little bulky at the tip. cut the corners down and using a toothpick, shove some glue and close the hole to make it less bulky.
This is your thimble, make changes to it. The leather will not fray. Enjoy it.
Your thimble is held together with an Elmer's Washable school glue stick. I use the purple one, simply so I can see how much and where the glue is. But the other type will work just as well.
Leather stretches, so as you use your thimble the leather will start to stretch and it will be loose. You need to pull the thimble apart and refit it. Use a glue stick and following the instructions on the instruction page to rebuild your thimble.
You have used your thimble and discovered that the plastic protector is not quite in the right spot. You will need to pull the thimble apart and move the plastic, and leather protectors to where you need it.
